Faith Formation Overview

St-Joseph-Family-Faith-Form

Learning about one’s faith is not relegated to only a specific period of time in one’s life. Rather, it is an ongoing, lifelong process.  Proudly, opportunities abound for learners of all ages at our parish.

Preschool
Preschool Faith Formation is offered for our three and four year during our Family Faith Formation Program. Three and four year olds attend Little Lambs where they learn about the same topics as their older siblings and parents in an age appropriate environment.

Family Formation
Family Faith Formation is held one Sunday a month (typically the first Sunday) from 2:00-4:00 p.m.  We support parents as the primary catechists of their children. As such, we only hold classes at the parish once a month with parents leading their families through take-home lessons for the remainder of the month. Children, preschool through fifth grade, attend grade level sessions in the school building.  Parents attend an adult session at the same time in Marian Hall.  There is childcare available in the nursery for 1 and 2 year olds for those who RSVP to 360-823-2843 so parents have the opportunity to learn and engage with other parents. All of the family learns the same topic for the month at their own level.

Vacation Bible School
This weeklong camp will be held at the parish July 11-15, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. each day. Scripture stories, music and skits, games, snacks, hands-on activities and a service project create an exciting, high energy week of VBS fun each summer. Children ages 3 through entering sixth grade in the fall may participate. Those entering seventh grade and up are invited to volunteer to assist at this fun week.
Registration will be open April 1-June 20, 2016. Pre-registration is required and no late sign-ups are accepted.
